ArtHouse of Delray Apaulo Brushed Metal Pillars

The brushed metal pillar installations af the Art House of Delray are designed by Paulo Slater to highlight its architecture and represent a continued growth for the non profit organization. The artwork consist of very fine scratches running in a uniform direction. Paulo organizes, align, and layers these polished grooves by hand grinding and heating with industrialand medical tools. The process then begins to “polish and burn” the metal thus creating a permanent highly reflective holographic image. He then sealed the artwork from the elements with a high gloss clearcoat to keep the metal shiney and vibrant for years to come.
